What is youMeter

youMeter is an electrical monitoring system easy to install and use. youMeter can identify anomalous consumption and figure out the energy waste of devices connected to the power outlet sockets, entire wiring sections, lighting and conditioning systems. The web interface allows to access all data and statistics using an ordinary web browser wherever you are.

To whom youMeter is addressed

youMeter is available in three different licenses depending on the installation size. The LITE version is limited to one ZigBee network only and it fits perfectly for small offices and houses. The STANDARD version can control up to five ZigBee network and is appropriate for mid-size installations. The PROFESSIONAL one is the monitoring solution for big buildings such as schoolhouses or hospitals.

What are the purposes of youMeter

To check the energy consumption, to identify anomalies and to reduce wastes verifying the progresses.
To estimate costs and benefits of changing the devices. To make public the energy saving campaign and more intuitive the results.

How does youMeter work

youMeter monitors the energy consumption of the devices through one or more ZigBee radio sensor network: every network is handled by an eBridge which is a ZigBee bridge connected to an Ethernet network. The maximum distance between an eBridge and a sensor is about 30 meters but each sensor acts like a ZigBee repeater expanding the network coverage area.

To monitor home appliances, PCs and printers the sensor to be used is ePlug that must be plugged between the device and the power outlet socket. To monitor entire wiring sections, lighting and conditioning systems the sensor is eClamp that must be clamped  to the wire.

The installation is quite easy but for large wiring systems a skilled technicians could be required.

What does youMeter do

Shows the status of the monitoring networks and the electrical quantities charts (historical data and real time measures). Shows statistics of the consumption and gives detailed monthly reports.
Exports information in Excel for additional data processing, comparison and analysis.
