The availability of new mobile devices with advanced features and increased processing power, the high number of broadband connections, the standardization of the communication protocols and of the encoding algorithms allow the development of complex multimedia applications and the birth of multimedia social networks. eGlue designs and deploys custom solutions for the advertising, the infotainment, the gaming, the security, the video surveillance and the media content sharing markets.Some of the solutions developed by eGlue for its customers have been described below.
The first one is a software platform to speed up the development of basic videogames or interactive applications. This platform is independent of the operating system and is suitable for embedded systems with limited resources. Examples of applications can be multimedia kiosks for public places or amusement machines, video pokers and slot machines.
The second is a video surveillance and electronic eavesdropping. It is a system for recording and streaming audio/video contents. The client-server architecture allows to store the streams on a centralized server and play them on any terminal. The audio/video streams can also be played in real time as in normal surveillance systems.
The sequences from different points of view can be played simultaneously to rebuild the whole scene more accurately. The ability to pause recorded video, increase the playback speed, select specific time intervals, add short notes and save the full transcription, allow to use the system for making electronic interceptions and to address both law enforcement institutions and private security company customers.The third example is a video surveillance web portal suitable for residential users, small and medium companies and private security companies. The system make the installation and configuration of video cameras easy. Other strengths of the system are the possibility of using a common web browser as a client, the centralized management and the alarm reporting.
