Energy saving

To fight against climate changes, to reduce pollution and to promote the production of energy from renewable sources, the EU agreed to a set of proposals called "Objective 20-20-20". This package aims to reduce by 20% greenhouse effect gas emissions, to bring to 20% the amount of energy savings and increase to 20% the energy production from renewable sources by the end of 2020. 

eGlue Technologies operates in the energy saving sector since its inception and has developed a product called youMeter that is able to monitor the power consumption of offices, public institutions and industrial premises.

The evolution of youMeter will be a monitoring and controlling system of the energy consumed by a community that will implement policies to promote energy saving. 
The development of a collaborative system that optimizes the energy consumption of a community has been described in the draft S.I.R.E. (Sistema Integrato Risparmio Energetico). eGlue submitted it to the regional call named "POR-FESR". The Piemonte region has approved the project in 2010. eGlue will implement the planned activities and verify the results in the period 2010-2012.
